Another Wrongful Death Suit Against Washington State Nursing Home

In the second wrongful death suit brought against the Marysville Care Center, it is alleged that Mr. Norman Mallang died due to inadequate care that exacerbated pre-existing conditions and lead to several serious, but preventable, injuries and infections.

Admitted to the care center in December of 2012, Mr. Mallang had diabetic symptoms and high blood pressure, both of which worsened with his stay. Mr. Mallang lost his ability to move independently, and his calls for assistance were ignored, causing him to fall and break several vertebrae. While in the care of the Marysville Care Center, Mr. Mallang also developed bed sores and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.

The suit alleges that all these conditions were worsened or brought about due to the negligence of the care facility, which failed to provide adequate care, nutrition, and fluids.

Mr. Norman Mallang never fully recovered from his plague of illnesses and injuries and sadly passed away in February of 2013.
