Washington Motorcycle Riders Must Now Carry Insurance

Starting July 28, 2019, all Washington State motorcycle operators must have liability  insurance on their bike, and must carry proof of insurance.  Read more here:  https://lcvalley.dailyfly.com/Home/ArtMID/1352/ArticleID/53212/Motorcycle-Insurance-Required-in-WA-July-28th

Keep in mind that this law applies to liability insurance.  If you are going to ride a motorcycle, we very strongly recommend that you purchase Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage in the highest amounts you can afford.  Injuries in motorcycles tend to be more significant due to greater exposure to harm without the protection of a vehicle frame.  Don’t wait until a collision to find out you don’t have adequate coverage.

Call one of our attorneys if you are a motorcycle rider and have been injured in a collision.  We can explain what rights you have under Washington law.
