Rotting Power Poles Led to Seattle City Light Collapse Last April That Injured Two

Seattle City Light has determined that internal rotting caused the collapse of two central power poles last April, which lead to a domino-like fall of 26 poles that damaged cars and injured two people.  Seattle City Light now promises to do a better job inspecting its large network of power poles, and to update its system for replacing those at highest risk for failure.  Read more and hear more about what the utility plans to do to address safety hazards to the public in this story by local Seattle/Tacoma station KNKX:
