Legal Internships at GLP Attorneys

GLP Attorneys, founded in 1986, is a successful Pacific Northwest 30-attorney law firm with headquarters in Seattle and staffed branch offices in Seattle, Burlington, Bellingham, Spokane, Tacoma, Port Orchard, Tri-Cities, Wenatchee, and Vancouver.  We are a word-of-mouth referral practice that has always focused on plaintiff’s personal injury cases from automobile collisions, motorcycle collisions, pedestrian accidents, construction injuries, nursing home abuse and neglect, premise liability claims, insurance bad faith, maritime injuries, and wrongful death.  We are an AV+ rated firm.  We achieve great results and provide top-tier service to our clients.

The primary goal of the GLP Attorneys Legal Internship Program is to hire and develop high potential students by providing a meaningful work experience that is mutually beneficial to the firm.  For Interns who are interested in long term roles with the firm, for example as a Staff Attorney after passing the bar exam, GLP Attorneys will consider every possible option.  The firm believes in promoting from within, and every intern will have the opportunity to participate in a Career Conversations event during their 3rd year of law school.   

This is a paid Internship:  In the summer, we encourage our Legal Interns to work full-time, and during the school year we ask for part-time availability.  GLP Attorneys is a flexible workplace and we strive to provide a fair and reasonable balance between work life, school life, and personal time.  GLP Attorneys may employ between 1-10 Legal Interns at any given time, depending on need.  GLP Attorneys will provide all tools and resources needed, and many internships can be done remotely. 

Internship Guidelines and ResponsibilitiesInterns at GLP Attorneys will transition from the experience with practical skills and a meaningful glimpse into the legal world.  This pre-professional experience will include demand writing, legal research, brief writing, drafting pleadings and motions and other assignments as given by the firm and Attorneys.  Every effort will be made to provide opportunities to participate in depositions, mediation, arbitration hearings, court hearings and other firm projects that will help advance education through the internship program. 

Each year we partner with various law schools in the Pacific Northwest to recruit and attract our next “Class” of Legal Interns.  Most Interns will have starting dates in the summer, and continue on part-time during the school year.  Typically Legal Interns will be in their 2nd and 3rd years of law school.
