Meet our Executive Director of Human Resources Sarah Baltzell, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Sarah Baltzell is GLP Attorneys’ Executive Director of Human Resources, leading the law firm’s people and administrative initiatives. Sarah is based in the Seattle Headquarters office.

Sarah received her Bachelor of Arts, Communications from the University of Washington in Seattle. She holds SPHR and SHRM-SCP designations through the Society of Human Resources Management and Human Resources Certification Institute. 

Sarah is passionate about leading highly functioning teams in complex work cultures and prides herself on her ability to partner with staff at all levels to develop programs that support operational excellence, improve business results, and excel performance. She serves as the primary point of contact for the firm’s human resources and administration business strategies and overall employee experience. She is often called to serve as a subject matter expert on Firm Culture, Leadership Development, Talent Acquisition, Change Management, Learning and Development, Performance Management, and Benefits/Compensation. 

Prior to joining GLP in the Spring of 2020, Sarah served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for a Pacific Northwest top 10 professional services firm. She has over 2 decades of experience spanning across multiple industries.

Sarah enjoys spending times with her family, which mostly includes watching her 14-year-old son play A LOT of baseball. She also enjoys traveling and has a goal to start each New Year in a different country!
