A massive wind and rain storm hit Washington, killing 3 and leaving thousands without power. Falling trees killed a man in Monroe and two women in Spokane. Schools are closed across the state and rising rivers have threatened homes and lowlands.

Weather forecasters predict drier and less-windy weather to move through the state; the upcoming days carry chances for showers and cloudy skies.
