Pedestrian hospitalized after being struck by Metro bus in Kent

Kent police are investigating a crash in which a Metro bus hit a pedestrian, sending him to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, officials said.

A bus was heading northbound on 104th Avenue Southeast shortly after making a stop near Southeast 253rd Place when the man reportedly fell under its back wheel, Metro spokesman Jeff Switzer said.

The man is 38 and reportedly a transient from Florida, officials told the Kent Reporter.
