John Graham has earned praise from defense attorneys, judges, arbitrators, mediators, insurance adjustors, physicians and numerous health care organizations for his dedication, hard work and endurance.
Education & Work Experience: John graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in 1975 in Evanston, Illinois in just 3 years. He went on to obtain his B.S. from Oregon State University in 1976, then worked on his Master’s Degree before graduating from what is now Seattle University School of Law in 1979. He was admitted to the Washington State Bar and the Federal Courts in 1979. He worked his way through college at the US Post Office, two hospitals, a dental lab, as a legal intern in a private law firm, in the US Attorney’s Office and the US Army Corps of Engineers, Office of Counsel.
Emphasis on Teaching & Writing: One of John’s passions is teaching and writing. It started in law school, where he helped write a 3 volume text book for lawyers on the Civil Rules for Court. He has written two children’s books. His current book, Crash Course 101, is in its 6th edition, with over 85,000 copies in circulation, and is Washington’s best legal book for understanding insurance claims. Crash Course reveals John’s strategies for negotiating with insurance companies. His proven methods have helped thousands of injured people decrease their stress and increase their settlement dollars. John Graham is a renowned leader and speaker in the field of insurance law and serious injury cases. He teaches Continuing Education courses for physicians, doctors, Chiropractors, assistants, other providers and therapists around the state of Washington weekly. He also teaches students and the injured public about insurance and legal matters. His teachings emphasize the legal and insurance aspects of injury law.
Personal History: John Graham grew up traveling. He lived in 10 cities and attended 12 schools (Los Angeles, Philadelphia, outside NYC, Chicago, Honolulu, Portland, Sydney, Australia, St. Anton, Austria and Seattle). He was accepted to Northwestern University as a junior in High School in Hawaii and graduated with his B.A. by age 20. In his youth he hitchhiked and hopped freight trains around the US several times. He and his wife back packed around the world for two years. Always an avid athlete, he has surfed exotic locations, including the North Shore in Hawaii, Costa Rica, Australia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and the Galapagos. He has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro (19,300 feet) and Mt. Rainier (14,411 feet), run 9 marathons and competed in 17 triathlons. He is a martial arts instructor.
